One of the best things about throwing knives is that they are small enough so that you can conceal them anywhere on your body.
You can hide the knives in your shoes, under your belt or around your wrist. To do this, you will need the appropriate sheath – there are sheaths/harness on the market that allow you to strap around the leg or shoulder.
Type of Cool Sheaths
Shoulder Holster
Shoulder holster is a sheath that can be strapped around your shoulder with a shoulder harness. The knives are usually stored inside the slots of the sheath. Throwers will wear the sheath in front of their chest with the help of the shoulder harness.
Leg Wrap Sheath
Leg warps are usually made with a piece of nylon and you just wear it around the leg. They contain slots where a thrower can put the knives in. A thrower then pull the knives from their leg which is a quick way to draw knife. The cool thing is that these sheaths give you a proper Ninja feel. But the downside is that the weight of the knives may pull the sheath down if it isn’t put on tight enough.
Wrist Sheath
Wrist Sheath is similar to a normal throwing knife sheath with a wrist strap. It can be wrapped around your wrist or ankle. Most of the wrist sheaths can fit three knives and the sheath can be hidden under your sleeve or trousers.

United Cutlery UC2904 Lightning Bolt Triple Throwing Set
The United Cutlery UC2904 Lightning Bolt Set is very popular on the market and it comes with a very cool shoulder harness sheath.
I am going to talk a bit more about this knife set because it is one of my favorite sets.
I just love the shoulder harness that comes with it and I wish I can wear it all day.
The Features

This is the type of knife you wouldn’t let your kids play around with. It is double-edged and razor-sharp. It doesn’t need any extra sharpening.
You should be extra careful when using it because the impact may be fatal especially if you miss your target and hit something else.
A Bit On the Short Side
Most of the throwing knives are silver in color. The UC2904 is black and slim enough to perfectly fit in your wallet.
You don’t have to reserve a space for it. The black-coating feature gives it an impressive finish and the coat doesn’t wear out.
Unfortunately, these knives are quite short, with a length of 5-1/2 inch overall. It will be hard to control if you don’t have much experience.
I would recommend a larger knife if you are a new thrower. The good thing is you can hide these knives pretty well

If you prefer a longer knife, consider the UC1255 Lightning Bolt Triple Knife Throwing Set. It is similar to the UC2904, but a bit longer: 7-1/4-Inch overall length. It comes with the same shoulder harness and overall it is a great beginner set.
Coolest Shoulder Holster Ever
Unlike other nylon or leather sheaths you see from other blades, the sheath for the UC2904 Knives Set is made of hard ABS plastic with a nylon shoulder harness. It has three slots on the sheath which allows you to put one knife in each slot.
The coolest thing about this knife set is that the sheath is basically a shoulder holster so you can strap it around your shoulder. You can also wear it on a belt but I wouldn’t do that because pulling a knife from your chest looks much cooler.
The price of this throwing knife ranges from is not cheap compared to most of the throwing knives but it is worth it. It does not easily break regardless of the target and it stays sharp for a long time.
How to Throw These Knives
The sheaths mentioned above are undoubtedly cool, but one common feature about these sheaths is that they can only fit a shorter knife. So you will find that most of the knives reviewed have a short length.
Because of this length, it is better to throw theses knives from a short distance. You can start with cardboard and stand 2-3 feet away from the cardboard.
I prefer using the handle throw (e.g. holding the handle) to throw this knife. Some of these blades are just too sharp and using the blade throw technique may turn into a disaster.
