How a Good Crossbow Scope can Affect Your Game
Yes it definitely will influence your hunting game. A good scope with 1x to 4x magnification will assist me zeroing in on the target and its vitals quickly. This could make all the difference in the world. It could be the difference between hitting the animal and missing it. Furthermore, a good scope with adjustable 35yd.-50yd. parallax adjustment or no parallax adjustment at all will make my bow shooting even more accurate.
Another positive influence a good scope will have on my game is: A good light gathering scope will do wonders for your bow hunting in low light circumstances. A good scope will have a 1 inch tube and 32mm optical lens which is a great standard.
Multi-cross haired scopes will greatly enhance my hunting experience and give me a greater chance of shooting accurately and killing game. How? Even if the battery goes out I can still see the cross hairs in the scope. Multi-reticle scopes are a very good bet for me to use because I can sight an animal at 20, 30, 40 or 50 yards. Having a great scope will make all the difference in my game! All-in-all a good scope will determine whether I’m able to put meat on my table or not.
Product Review: The Best Crossbow Scope on the Market
There are many crossbow scopes available on the market and I know how difficult it is to find a good one let alone the best one. In the section below, we will go through a few crossbow scope reviews and hopefully you will be able to find your best crossbow scope.
Excalibur Tact-Zone Illuminated Scope Review
[easyazon_image align=”right” height=”500″ identifier=”B00AU6BX8W” locale=”US” src=”https://deadbullseye.com//sites/deadbullseye.com/files/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/31Ew2BciTq5L.jpg” tag=”deadbullseye-20″ width=”300″]I attached this scope to my Excalibur bow and it fit on so easily. I sighted in at 20 yards with no problem. I went from 30yds to 60 yds in a matter of seconds. Each sighting measurement was clear and focused. It was like I was standing right in front of the game the visual range was so clear.
It comes with some nice features a 30mm Tube Diameter, Reticle Construction: Etched, Recticle Tact- Zone and its waterproof, fog proof and of course shockproof. It’s the standard scope that Excalibur puts on their compact Matrix crossbow series. This defines the confidence I have in this scope because Excalibur has incorporated it into one of their product lines.
Some other features of this scope are: 30mm Tube, new Recticle Design, Red/Green Rheostat Illumination and multi-coated lens for very clear clarity. Another feature is this scope can be adjusted between 275fps to 410 fps. This scope also has ½” adjustments at 20 yards to really help me clearly focus in on my target. I can also upgrade this to other crossbows I purchase because of the speed adjustment option.

Truglo Crossbow Scope 4X32 with Rings APG Review
[easyazon_image align=”right” height=”500″ identifier=”B001EYBNFW” locale=”US” src=”https://deadbullseye.com//sites/deadbullseye.com/files/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/41fyWKQkeML.jpg” tag=”deadbullseye-20″ width=”300″]I think this sight is reasonably priced and it is definitely one of the best crossbow scrops on the market. I like the camouflage finish which blends in well with any camouflage crossbow. It has a Special Range and Trajectory Compensating Rectile. It has a generous 4” eye relief. The scope also has a very comfortable eye-guard protecting my eye. The 4” scope is a nice fit for my eye. It gives me plenty of room to scope and sight my targets easily and quickly.
Other features are: Fully-Coated lenses providing maximum brightness, clarity and contrast. Under the screw down caps I found a windage and elevation adjustment. Which is very handy when circumstances warrant using these adjustments. The tube is made of aircraft quality tough aluminium which will stand up to a lot of abuse.
I tested this scope on my Horton Vision 175 at 20 yards. I missed the bullseye by ½” so then I shot from 40 yards and missed the bullseye by 1”. So I went ahead split the difference. So after I did this split I again shot at 20 yards and 40 yards respectively. I missed both of these target center points by ½”. This is really accurate shooting. When I go hunting with this scope, no doubt I’ll hit the vitals of my target every time.

Nikon Bolt XR Crossbow Scope Review
[easyazon_image align=”right” height=”260″ identifier=”B004MYBSZQ” locale=”US” src=”https://deadbullseye.com//sites/deadbullseye.com/files/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/31vivFeYfGL.jpg” tag=”deadbullseye-20″ width=”252″]This scope is priced at about the same as the Excalibur scope. Nikon is a very reputable camera manufacturer. It comes in a Matte black finish which is very nice looking on my black finished bow. Some other nice features are: A lightweight compact design, multi-coated lenses that are ingrained with anti-reflective compounds. These compounds give me superior visual clarity through the scope. Nikon’s optics absorb 92% of incoming light giving me a clear picture of my target while the target is in range.
I was very happy that my Nikon Crossbow Scope has the BDC 60 Rectile system to give very clear and accurate sighting out to 60 yards. This scope can even sight out at 150 yards for my super long shots. It weighs 11.2 ounces and is 8.1 inches long. This is a real lightweight scope to carry around not expending a lot of space I need in carrying my hunting equipment. This scope comes with many more nice features that I have not mentioned here. The 60 yard accurate sighting was a major selling point for me. I haven’t found a lot of scopes that can sight out at 60 yards so accurately.

BSA 30mm Red Dot Scope Review
[easyazon_image align=”right” height=”380″ identifier=”B000N8MZOI” locale=”US” src=”https://deadbullseye.com//sites/deadbullseye.com/files/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/41nWTBjB36L.jpg” tag=”deadbullseye-20″ width=”300″]This Bsa scope comes with a 5 MOA Red Dot 11 Position Rheostat. A 3 Volt Lithium battery which I found is a very nice feature to have. Bright control which has a high and low setting. The scope has a limited one year limited warranty which is standard in the industry.
The 3/8-5/8 adjustable mounting system is perfect for crossbars. It’s very lightweight and compact at 9.6 ounces. This is so easy for me to carry with my other bow equipment. Its size is 5.2×4.8×3 inches. This scope doesn’t add any weight to the total carrying weight of my bow. I attached to my bow with no problem and it fit very snugly. It has some very basic features unlike the other scopes which come with many more features.nIt’s good for short range to medium range sighting.
This scope is perfect for me when I go on my local hunting trips where I will be hunting for small game like rabbits or squirrels. I don’t need a scope with long range sighting capabilities. This one does the trick just fine for me. [easyazon_link identifier=”B000N8MZOI” locale=”US” tag=”deadbullseye-20″]>>>Click here to check out more about the BSA 30mm Red Dot Scope<<<[/easyazon_link]
